As a design engineer I spend my day designing custom stainless-steel machines. After spending years looking at beautiful chess sets that just didn’t reflect my personality, I decided to create my own. This set is hand-assembled from precision-engineered components. A porcelain stoneware board in a stainless steel frame, with pieces made from stainless-steel nuts and bolts.
After making a set for myself, I was asked to make more by colleagues who saw it. I eventually decided to make a strictly limited edition of 250 units, each one hand engraved with a signature and number. A corporate logo or message can be laser-etched onto the frame, if desired.
